Crystallization is an important separation operation in the chemical process. Also, crystallization technology is building up operation of nanoparticles. Recently, this field covers not only crystallization of inorganic materials but also organic materials. However, our group has a problem. The problem is that specialists of this filed decline in number of late, and it is an urgent issue how to foster young researchers.
Current level of technology, trend and activities in future
- Crystallization technology in Japan is at top-level in the world for now. However, specialists of crystallization decrease in number and it becomes an important issue to cultivate young researchers and engineers in this field.
- The specialized lecture course given by this group has an aim of technical tradition. This group will make it a pillar of activities to continue the specialized course of crystallization and to make follow-up this activity.
- Increased demand for crystallization from now is considered to produce high-quality crystals selectively and steadily. Corresponding to such demand, it is predicted that real-time and high-accurate technology is required in understanding of phenomena and control of operation.
- This group will plan lecture meetings and international symposiums/forums, and collect information on domestic and overseas frontier technology.
